Quick-Start Guide & Care Instructions

Congratulations on bringing home your officially licensed Cathedral of Learning replica! Follow these simple steps to set up your Victory Lights and keep your model looking its best.

1. Power Options (Dual-Power Design)

Your replica can be powered either by standard batteries or plugged in via USB-C (batteries and cable are not included; most standard USB-C cables and 5V phone chargers will work).

On the back of the base, you will find a 3-position switch:

  • MIDDLE: Power OFF

  • LEFT / RIGHT: Battery Power (3× AA)

  • OPPOSITE SIDE: USB-C Power

Note: Only select the switch mode matching your active power source.

2. Installing or Replacing Batteries

The electronics, LED module, and battery holder are housed in a removable modular insert at the base:

  1. Turn the model over and locate the two finger holes on the bottom of the base insert.

  2. Insert your fingers into the holes and gently, evenly pull the insert straight out.

    • CAUTION: Take your time and pull straight down. Avoid yanking or using excessive force, as 3D-printed parts can crack under uneven stress.

  3. Once the insert slides out, insert 3 fresh AA batteries, observing the correct + and – polarity.

  4. Align the insert with the tracks in the base and gently slide it back into the Cathedral body until seated flush.

3. Care & Safety Tips

  • Handle with Care: 3D-printed architectural details and fine stonework spires are delicate. Always lift the model by supporting the wide main base rather than grasping the upper tower.

  • Indoor Display Only: Keep your model indoors in a climate-controlled room. Do not display outside or leave in direct, intense sunlight or near heat sources (such as radiators, window sills in summer, or hot cars), as high heat can soften and warp 3D-printed plastics.

  • Warmth & Scent: High-output LEDs generate mild internal heat during extended use. You may notice a faint, sweet, warm-plastic aroma while the light is on—this is completely normal for 3D-printed materials.

  • Safety Warning: In the unlikely event you notice any smoke, melting plastic, or extreme overheating, immediately switch the unit to the OFF position, disconnect the USB-C cable or remove the batteries, and contact customer support.
